T-RES Applications for CSI Student Orgs is Now Live

We are excited to introduce T-RES Applications to streamline the event planning process for CSI Student Organizations.

Starting August 26th, TAP has been replaced with T-RES.

Student Organizations have already been using T-RES to reserve many spaces on campus, and T-RES Applications is the new way to submit and complete your event planning modules for reviews and approvals, bringing reservations and event planning tools together in one place.

Why is TAP being retired?

TAP is being retired as part of the transition to T-RES, UC San Diego’s centralized system for event and reservation needs.

TAP is also an older, custom-built system that is becoming increasingly difficult for UC San Diego to maintain and support. As part of UC San Diego’s technology strategy, ITS is moving toward modern, commercially supported systems whenever possible.

T-RES was designed to provide one system for finding and reserving spaces, managing event requirements, and completing the safety and policy steps that may apply to an event. Moving student organizations from TAP to T-RES helps create a consistent process for both student and staff events.

The move from TAP to T-RES means student organizations will have one place to manage their event and many reservation needs, while giving UC San Diego a system that can be updated and improved in the future.
