UC San Diego's Center for Student Involvement offers employment opportunities to undergraduate students and graduate students. Recruitment and selection for these year long positions takes place on an annual basis.
Communication & Leadership Assistants (PDF) provide general administrative and programmatic support to ensure the success of the various programs and services offered by CSI - Communication & Leadership. Mentors and Mentor Coordinators Staff (PDFs) provide guidance and support to incoming first-year students who are primarily first-generation college students, as they learn about social justice and leadership and navigate their first year at UC San Diego. Mentors and Mentor Coordinators will be selected late Winter 2022, will receive training in Spring 2022 and Summer Session 1, and will be expected to serve in their roles during the summer institute and throughout the 2022–2023 school year.

Dialogue Ambassadors (PDF) co-facilitate 5 on-campus dialogues each quarter as well as assist with campus community building dialogues through the National Conflict Resolution Center. Dialogue Ambassadors selected in late Winter 2022, will receive training in Spring 2022, and will be employed for the 2022–2023 school year.
