There are many short-term community service opportunities that happen on or near the UC San Diego campus.Sign up for the mailing list to be notified when new events come up!
Here are a few service programs that UCSD's Center for Student Involvement hosts:
COMMUNITY PATHWAYS
Community Pathways is a short-term, quarter-long program for students interested in volunteering in the San Diego area. Students groups of 5-15 will be volunteering at the same time and date on a weekly basis. For inquiries, please contact Emiley Dionne.
SHORT-TERM OPPORTUNITIES INTEREST FORM
Want to help plan or participate in short-term service with other UC San Diego students? Let us know with this interest form and we’ll connect you to group service projects as they become available.
LEARN & SERVE LIVE SESSIONS
Learn & Serve is a speaker series that connects students with non-profits and agencies making a difference in San Diego. These workshops introduce students to the missions of the organization and how the organization is engaging in Changemaking in San Diego. Students will also receive instructions on how to volunteer with the organization.
CHANGEMAKER STUDENT COLLABORATIVE
The Changemaker Student Collaborative is a new opportunity for all UC San Diego students to participate in Changemaking. In 2021-2022, the goal of the Collaborative is to provide individual students and student organization leaders with the most up-to-date information on Changemaking, as well as opportunities to get involved and lead Changemaker programs. It is open to everyone!
Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and Day of Service
Join UC San Diego’s students, staff, and faculty, and alumni as we serve in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.
