How to Reserve a Location for Your Student Organization Meeting or Event
Reserving Classroom Space for Meeting:
To reserve a classroom or lecture hall for your meeting, make a classroom space request.
Important Policies:

- Usage Restrictions:
- Classrooms and lecture halls cannot be used for events. Per Registrar Office policy, Registrar managed spaces are available for student organization meetings only.
- Simple Meetings Only:
- Classrooms and lecture halls may only be used for simple meetings. Simple meetings do not require a TAP.
- A simple meeting is defined as a closed meeting for student attendees with no food, funding, speakers, or other activities.
- Food Policy:
- Food is not allowed in classrooms unless you have special approval.
- To get approval, email the Registrar’s Office at Registrar-Scheduling@ucsd.edu.

- Reservation Timing:
- Reservations are not accepted more than 3 weeks in advance and confirmations will be sent up to 1 week before the meeting date, per Registrar Office policy.

University Centers:

Reserve a room or space in Price Center, the Student Center, Student Services Center, Library Walk, Matthews Quad or other University Centers managed locations, here.
Important Policies:
- UC San Diego registered student organizations may reserve space up to six (6) months in advance.
- Only Principal Members may reserve space for their organization.
- All funding must come from the student organization’s account managed by the Student Life Business Office.
- A maximum of four (4) room or space reservations per organization are allowed for UCEN managed spaces.

For questions about reserving a UCEN-managed space, visit the Event Services and Reservations Desk, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Level 3 of Price Center East. You can also email reservations@ucsd.edu
Recreation Facilities:
To reserve a space through recreation facilities for your events, reservations may be made Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Recreation Events Scheduling Office on the 4th floor of the RIMAC building, or online using the appropriate request form.
Reservable Spaces through Recreation:
- Meeting Rooms available for rental
- LionTree Arena
- RIMAC Annex
- Main Gym
- Canyonview Pools
- Ball Fields (baseball and softball)
- Multipurpose Fields (may be used for concerts, flag football, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, softball, ultimate Frisbee)
- Natatorium (pool inside Main Gym)
- Outdoor Courts (basketball, tennis, and volleyball)
- Track and Field (with adjacent Spanos Training Facility
